Sorted Kāinga Ora Workshops Supporting Whānau Pathways to Home Ownership

North Studios was proud to deliver the Sorted Kāinga Ora Workshops across Te Hiku in partnership with Te Iwi o Ngāti Kahu Trust as part of the wider Te Hiku Housing Expo kaupapa.

These workshops were designed to give whānau practical, trusted information to support their housing and financial journeys. Facilitated by Sorted and Kāinga Ora representatives, the sessions focused on building financial confidence, understanding pathways to home ownership, and navigating available housing support.

Whānau engaged with topics including budgeting, saving, managing debt, KiwiSaver, and understanding how Kāinga Ora products and services can support first home buyers and those seeking housing stability. The workshops created a safe, supportive space for kōrero, questions, and real life discussions grounded in local realities.

The response from participants highlighted the value of face to face delivery, culturally grounded facilitation, and access to clear, practical information. Many attendees shared that the workshops helped demystify the housing process and gave them greater confidence to take next steps for their whānau.
